Kyle begins a new case report for the Inbestigators in advance, as Ezra was late to record before playing with football cards. It all started when Maudie, Ezra, Ava and Kyle got together to decorate the backyard with new plant pots, all of this Ava's idea. However, on the day, they notice that she was doing absolutely nothing, because Ava is sad, to everyone's confusion.

Kyle tries to comfort Ava by asking if she wants tissues, but Ava says that in fact, she is sad inside. So, they saw that some girl would have to take action and know what to say, however, it certainly wouldn't be Maudie, who tells Ava to stop thinking about it, which makes her feel insulted and starts to scream a lot loudly, and as shown in a flashback, Ava asked for Pixie stick glue, but she refused, which shows that she is feeling sad because Pixie, her best friend, is no longer contacting her. Maudie apologizes for not understanding and asks Ezra to hug Ava, and he and Kyle find it disgusting, but it was the only thing that could encourage her to judge them by decorating the backyard with plant pots that had been her idea since the beginning.

After Ezra embraces Ava, Maudie asks Ava why Pixie isn't talking to her, but Ezra says it's rude to ask and gives Ava a trowel, but Ava disagrees with that. Soon, she explains that Pixie's parents divorced, which Maudie already knew, but before telling others, she privately told Ava, since she is her best friend, during a sleepover at Ava's house, but someone found out and it made Pixie think Ava had told her, and it makes Maudie ask if she really did, which makes her very angry, swearing she didn't tell anyone. Maudie asks who was on the sleepover, and Ava reveals the participants besides her and Pixie: Ruby, Caitlin, Amelia, Esther and Max.
