Ava begins yet another case report from the Inbestigators, announcing that the agency has undergone major changes, but some have been poorly received, which happened on Saturday when Maudie, Ezra, Ava and Kyle were looking for the receipt from Ezra's father looking at his books, the that everyone started to consider the most boring activity in the world, since they would have to look at several books. However, they were interrupted when a boy enters the office, who introduces himself as Elijah, which relieves everyone, since it can be with that he needs help to solve a crime, however, he denies it saying that he wants to work with them, which leaves everyone confused, and Ezra refuses the request, but the boy manages to convince him after he says he can do everything, which made Ezra ask Elijah to help them find a receipt, so they don't get tired of it, but they were interrupted more than once.

That person was Amelia, who shocked everyone by saying that someone stole her bike and wants their help to look for it and find the one responsible. Maudie accepts the case, and Elijah asks to go along, as he is excited to see the Inbestigators in action. Desperate Amelia says that everyone can go and look for her bike. So, everyone went looking for the bike, looking at one corner and then another, but they didn't find it. Maudie asks if Amelia really had left the bike there, however, Elijah interrupts her asking what type of bike she has, and Amelia replies that it is a purple mountain bike. After Amelia replies that she hasn't left her at home, Kyle says that this is how all the things he had were stolen, since he actually lost all of it. Maudie says they should start interrogating the neighbors, however, Elijah interrupts showing everyone tire marks on the lawn, which refer to a mountain bike, which leaves everyone impressed, however, Maudie considered this too fast for a real investigator, and Elijah says that everyone should follow the marks, which will lead to the place where the bike was hidden, and everyone starts to follow him.

Trivia

  • This is the second time where Amelia is a victim during the series, being her first episode as a victim "The Case of the Puzzling Pet Day".

Cultural References

  • Elijah's obsession with joining the Inbestigators makes him similar to the character Syndrome, the main antagonist of the film The Incridibles, because he also tried to become a partner of Mr. Incredible when he was young, but he refused.
  • Elijah's nickname, Maudie 2.0, is similar to the nickname of the character Baymax from the movie Big Hero 6, Baymax 2.0, as said by Hiro.

Continuity

  • Kyle, after knowing that Elijah want to work for the inbestigators, he exclaims: "Legends", which is similar to his quote "Legend" in "The Case of the Big Mouth Challenge".
  • Kyle mentions again that his things were stolen, just to hide that he had lost, and this was also seen in "The Case of the Exciting Excursion".
  • Maudie mentions that the money is used to buy boring things at Ezra's request, which was seen in "The Case of the Disoriented Drone".
  • Kyle also tries to spell Elijah's name as he did with Maudie in "The Case of the Spoiled Sports Day".
  • On this episode, Maudie, while Ava, Ezra, Kyle and Elijah discovers that she was firing herself, reveals some items seen in other episodes from her notebook:
    • Ava's ponytail, which gave her hair to grow, however, Maudie reveals that his father always cuts her hair, which she has already mentioned in "The Case of the Vanishing Koalas".
    • One of Kyle's football cards, which were first seen in "The Case of the Sleepover Secret".
    • One of the cards Ezra made to publicize the agency, where it was revealed that she kept it in "The Case of the Very Lost Notebook".
      • Kyle also references this episode by making a banana tree the second time and ending up falling.
    • Ava was seen hugging Maudie for the third time, whose other times were in "The Case of the Curious New Girl" and "The Case of the Copy Cat".

Blooper Reels

  • In the scene where Ava tells the part where Amelia accepts Dana's apology, Abby (Ava) ends up making mistakes several times.
