"The Case of the Fishy Fundraiser" is the 17th episode of the second season of The InBESTigators, and the 37th overall.
Synopsis
Amelia resents her fundraising cupcake stall being upstaged by a lemonade stall, so when things go sour, Amelia is accused of sabotage.
Plot
Poppy, Ezra's younger sister, begins a new case report from the Inbestigators, saying that if it does well in the story, it will possibly make her brother found what she calls the "Junior Division". The case takes place at Amelia's house, where she starts selling cupcakes to raise money to help the children's hospital.

- This episode features the first fundraiser in the series.
- Amelia's full name is Amelia Fitzgerald, as seen in the local newspaper article and mentioned by her while serving new customers.
- Maudie, during this episode, is shown wearing another style of boots, which are different from her common boots.
- This is the third episode in which a person is charged with a crime that did not commit and at the same time, the third episode that a person commits a crime without knowing it and that the victim himself commits the crime.
- This is currently the only episode the InBESTigators Junior Division appears.

- Toby mentions a very popular event which is Curry Night, which also serves as a very useful fundraising event for some people at night.
- Amelia's last name, Fitzgerald, is similar to two pop culture figures:

- The part of Amelia's last name, Fitz, references the West German film Fitzcarraldo, first released in 1982.
- The scene Kyle drinks and spits the lemonade for the last time is similar to the Big Chill character from the Ben 10 franchise.
